Workshop with Google

Sven Törnkvist, former student at SSE and today Industry Head at Google Sweden visited us today at MCXL to give us some insights on Google’s business in Sweden, recent trends shaping the online environment and consumer insights in that area.

We also had the pleasure of doing a workshop with him in which we discussed strategic challenges that Google is facing in Sweden today which lead to a lot of creative insights and ideas.

We want to send him a big thank you! It was really fun working with him and getting to know better one of today’s biggest players in the industry.

We hope to see you again some time!

Hit the streets with Prime

This Tuesday we had a really refreshing workshop with Therese Bohlin from Prime. She made us hit the streets to provoke people with certain attributes to find true insights about how people think and behave. True insights cannot be found by sitting behind a desk, but must be found by experiencing the real world! Thank you Therese!

A real northern experience

On Friday, MCXL was invited to visit Polarica in Haparanda, (next to the border to Finland) to experience “a taste of wilderness”. Most of us haven’t been that far up in the north and only heard all those rumors about business deals that are sealed in the hot tub while drinking beer and watching polar bears. And yes, we can definitely agree that business is handled differently up north – so after a fantastic dinner consisting of Polarica reindeer skav with lingon berries we could enjoy the offices’ amenities and relax in the sauna, hot tub and kåta with wine, beer and goodies.

We would like to thank Polarica for this great experience and their hospitality and are looking forward to working with them the coming weeks!

Now dear fellow MCXLs grab a beer and brainstorm on your meat or berry task in the sauna, since we all learned “the best ideas come up in the sauna” (Tommy Innala, CEO of Polarica, 2011).

LynxEye workshop

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming our older brother, former MCXL-student, Linus Lundell into our classroom for a three hour workshop. He has now left the safe nest of school and is currently working at the fascinating brand management consultancy LynxEye.

We just want to send big THANKS! to LynxEye and Linus and we can only hope that we have inherited some of his wisdom.
