When I think about Chianti my thoughts immediately fly to the Chianti area. This area is one of the most popular production areas for its tradition and quality of wines. If you love good wine then Tuscany is perfect. It gives you the opportunity to  try some of the world’s most prestigious labels and great classics combined with other specialties that will improve your palate.

There are plenty of places you can do wine tasting in Tuscany. The majority of wine bars also known as enoteca as well as some restaurants give you the option to appreciate superb wine and mouthwatering food. Dining out in Tuscany’s tourist centers can be very expensive, but once you get into the rural areas you can find outstanding specialties at affordable restaurants.

In the past, Chianti wine region, was a small area which included the three towns: Radda, Castellina and Gaiole. Today this wine region is much bigger and includes a number of other towns.

Professional wine tasters long ago found out that if they swallow every wine they taste, they are far less able to taste different wines by the time they reach wine ten. This is why spitting became acceptable. Well, in reality you can drink all your wine at a wine tasting but the alcohol you consume would cloud your judgement. If you leave the wine in your mouth from eight to ten seconds, you will be able to taste it well without having to worry about the effects of alcohol.

Wine tasting events are an adventure for everyone. These experiences can be exciting and illuminating at the same time. The stunning scenery would make the experience one hundred times better. When in Tuscany you shouldn’t miss the opportunity get lost in back roads and visit small towns. Italy is captivating: between the food, the wine, the culture, the history, the landscapes…
