However, once the last drinks drunk, the last hungover conquered and you are sitting at the train station heading back home, the reality may start to kick in and you might become overwhelmed with panicked thoughts about what lays ahead. This is an occurrence some refer to as “Graduate Blues”. A recent study showed that 95% of Students see “Graduate Blues” as very real issue and according to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), it is “extremely common” . It comes from a sense of disillusionment about finishing university and worry about what to do next. Although it is common, it is also very easy to overcome, just by making that all important next move and although it may not seem so, there […]

Pizza did not originate in the country for which it now famous. Yes, Iike many people, I always thought that Pizza originated in Italy. The origin of the word pizza is debatable. It is Italian for ‘pie’ and may have come from Latin ‘pitch’ or Greek ‘pitta’. However, the history of pizza goes a long way. The roots for Pizza were originally laid by the Greeks who first baked large, round and flat breads which they covered with oils, herbs and cheese. The first major change in the pizza was the use of tomato as a topping. While it is difficult to pinpoint who invented the Pizza, it is generally accepted that modern pizza was first made by baker Raffaele Esposito of Naples. Legend has it that the most typical Pizza, Pizza Margherita, was invented in 1889 in honour of Queen Margherita. Around 1889, Queen Margherita, accompanied by her […]
The women on boards and in top management positions is increasing in almost every sector and country. Male executives may have to swallow their pride when it comes to which of the sexes do a better job at running a company. Music to my ears! A report on global businesses called ‘Women Matter’ conducted by McKinsey & Company, suggest that the firms where women are found at board or top management levels are also the companies that perform best in terms of profit and growth. In the management suites of Adobe Systems Inc., Best Buy Co., Target Corp. and Gap Inc., women occupy as many as five of eight spots on the male chief executive leadership team. It is very interesting to note that these female executive often serve as role models for other women in the company. […]

You might think that I would be writing about the future of us youths, and what we’re bringing in to the world, but actually no. I’m writing about something far more important that only happens once in a lifetime. We are officially in the future accordingly to the classic movie ”Back to the Future”. The year that Michael J Fox ended up in when he traveled into the future with his time traveling car was on the 21st of October in 2015, so we’ve been a week in the future, not to bad huh? So when Michael or Marty McFly which is his character’s name wounds up in 2015 there are so many strange things there, or here. Flying cars, telephones with camera and self-lacing shoes are just some of the strange things that are in the future. A lot of the things brought up in the movie is actually […]
I’ve been thinking a lot about sunrises and sunsets, and what is really the difference. Oh sorry, good morning by the way! As an aussie I’ve seen the best of both worlds. The majestic sunrises of the east coast, and the dramatic sunsets of the west. If someone would ask me which the best one is, it would be a task impossible for me to answer. I have seen the sun set just off the coast of Perth, I have seen that great ball of fire being sunken into the ocean outside of Cape Naturaliste and Exmouth and I have asked myself how there would ever be something more beautiful than this. But then I have also been sitting on a surf board in the water outside of Byron Bay and watched the sun slowly crawling itself over the horizon. I’ve watched the camp fire on Fraser Island die out […]
Good morning y’all! I’ve been thinking a lot about taking care of each other and working together as humans since this refugee crisis started. As you all, hopefully, know, we’re facing the biggest flows of refugees since the Second World War. This is not strange at all considering the ugliness taking place in the world right now. What I really hope though is that the leaders of the world take some responsibility and solve this crisis by accepting the people on the run. Maybe we “normal” people can’t solve everything when it comes to this crisis but if everyone opens up their heart and also their wallets, it will surely make a change. We in Sweden have an extraordinary life quality compared to other countries. When I first started travelling I could really see the difference between countries and countries. In Sweden we have a life much better than […]

To be sure, contact your or the university’s student counselor to be sure that the course or program that you are interested in qualify for late registration. The last day to accept the spot if you are lucky enough to make it, is on the 31st of July and the second admission notice is on the […]
