Many times, when planning what to do whilst abroad, the main thing that is recommended to take part in, has to do with the cultural aspect of that country, for example visiting museums or going on tours. However, these points often ignore the fact that some people prefer being active, and would rather be out and about, than inside looking at historical important artifacts, and are left spending hours before their trip searching online for what activities can be done instead. We are only a few days away from one of the most romantic days of the year. Every February 14, many people exchange cards, chocolates, flowers with their special Valentines. All this in the name of Saint Valentine, but who is he? The most popular theory about the origins of Saint Valentine is that Emperor Claudius 2 was forbidding Roman men to marry during wartime. Bishop Valentine went against his wishes and performed secret weddings. As a consequence, he was jailed and executed. Whilst he was in jail he wrote a letter to the prison guard’s daughter signing it ”from your Valentine.” The feast of Saint Valentine was first established in 496 by Pope Gelasius 1. My trip in Berlin

Berlin is a charming place to visit, with a rich varied history. This fascinating city has been one of Europe’s most influential economic, cultural and political centers since its origins as a trading post in the 13th century. Berlin is famous for its summers, not because it is particularly warm, but there is a never-ending list of things to do. Summer can be very wet so I suggest that you always carry an umbrella and pack a light jacket. However, the rain does not stop people from enjoying the city.
